Danny Pryp is a Latin-Australian artist with an interesting cultural background. Of Ukrainian and Spanish descent, he was born and raised in Venezuela before moving to Australia over 20 years ago. When he’s not travelling – which is most of the time – you can find Danny on Sydney’s Bondi Beach.

Danny musical training began with intensive classical opera with Steve Ostrow, known for discovering and training Bette Midler, Peter Allan and Barry Manilow. In addition to music, Danny Pryp has trained as an actor, graduating from the Screenwise School of Acting with Denise Roberts and studying privately with Lynette Sheldon and Annie Swan. He has also danced at the Rio de Janeiro Carnival and on ABC television in Bollywood dancing shows.

Danny extensive acting skills have secured him leading roles in high profile entertainment forums including Australian Idol TOP 100, Dead Man Walking The Opera, 3rd Prize winner Tropfest (World’s Largest Shorts Festival), as well as lead roles in RENT The Musical and Sweeney Todd in Australia.

As a filmmaker Danny has received awards around the world for the production of his own music video clips such as the Hollywood Hills Award, Best Music Video at the Texas Film Festival Award and Diamond Award at the Hollywood Film Competition, among others.

In 2021 Danny switched music genres and burst onto the Urban Pop scene – with 25 tracks released to date. He has built a community of more than 51,000 followers on his social networks and has taken live shows to Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, India, Europe, Peru and Australia – with further tours booked for 2026.

Danny has recently released ‘VIDA’, his debut Urban Pop album, alongside a show-stopping single, “Sediento,” a bold fusion of classical opera and reggaeton. Both VIDA and Sediento have already surpassed one million views on YouTube, marking a major milestone in his career. Danny now looks to continue expanding his reach and connecting with audiences across the Latin world and beyond.
